What's with the Emoji?

tl;dr have DID, emojis denote alters

To be honest, I'm really not the best person to explain DID if you're not already familiar with it, but there is this zine that does a pretty good job of explaining things

As a system, we're still in the relatively early days of figuring this stuff out, life has been stressful and it's a bit of a mess. We don't have complete dissociative amnesia, but we do have a lot of it, we aren't even sure how much there is. It's pretty hard to figure what you don't know when you don't know it; though we can usually remember the outline of something after being reminded of it.

In order to easily denote who is fronting online, we use emoji at the begining of text. We use Emma as a system name to refer to all of us, so it's fine if you just call us Emma when refering too all of us or if you don't know who is fronting. Sometimes we just don't put an emoji in our text either because we forgot, or we're blended, either way it's fine to just refer to us as Emma in those situations.
